It is a very good app for the smart phone
Its 4 pm. The sun is Not below the horizon. Selecting my location on the world map apparently has no bearing on the sky map.
I thought it was a good app until I was using it and it told me the moon was on the opposite side of the sky it said it was. I miss google sky map
The stars are all listed as anonymous unless you look it up in the search bar. Other than that it is the best astronomy app you can get
This app used to be great! Since a few updates ago and this most recent one, it is completely useless. Says the sun is in the sky when its 1am, no more controls appear when tapping the screen, clicking on stars brings up an option for info then immediately goes away. This used to be an excellent star gazing app, but it simply doesnt work anymore. Shame.
This app was great 5 stars! But within the past month, it has stopped working. Very sad...
Review of ver 2.2.2: still crashes every time at start! Review of earlier version:Good app and interface. Only noticeable problem until now for me is it doesnt correct planet and star positions according to the local time for locations outside US
Please wake up and fix this app which hasnt been able to open in months. Theres a multitude of users with the same problem, but it appears no one cares, why? It was a 5 star app, but now its not even a zero because NOBODY can open it!!! I would give the old video a 5, but I cant give this a 0 because the scale doesnt go that low. Ive updated my phone, deleted the app, and tried again. Basically we all just get a picture of a burned out planet.... Maybe thats a reflection of the current state of this app. Please wake up and help, or let someone know who can!!!
This is a great app, super easy to use and follow celestial objects. However, since the last update, it seems the cardinal directions have been flipped. The app right now is showing the N. Hemisphere winter sun setting in the Northeast, which is the opposite of what it should be (Southwest). Other than that, I love this app. So far my favorite digital sky map/application.
